I’d eaten at Ogam Chicken once before, a few years ago with my ex. We ate in the restaurant and I remember that our table was filled with lots of little dishes. On this day, I had picked up my vehicle from the dealership for its regular maintenance (unfortunately everything came due at the same time and it was a $700 bill…) and I just didn’t feel like cooking. I chose the M3 chicken meal – seasoned chicken – with rice. For $15.90 it came with a pop and 3 pieces of chicken (a back, a drum and a wing). The ‘seasoned’ flavour was a sticky sweet and sour kind of sauce (and I said yes to the peanut sprinkles)… while it was tasty I think I’ll try a different flavour next time.
The crispy chicken at Ogam is definitely crispy! I don’t know how on earth they get such an awesome crust on their chicken, but personally I think it’s delicious. That being said, I don’t know if it was the crust or the sauce but I found it to be rich and very filling. I couldn’t actually finish my meal – I had some rice and the drumstick as leftovers.
I wish there was something like Ogam up in the north because it’s an awful long way to drive from Coventry Hills… that being said, I do want to try more of their food. Next time I should just stick around and eat in the restaurant so it’s not cool by the time I get home. If you like fried chicken I highly recommend you try Ogam.
