We hit up South St. Burger at Cross Iron Mills rather than going to the food court. It’s pretty much a nice looking fast food joint with its own seating area.
I had the Nacho Burger. The salsa was a fresh treat, and guacamole is always delish… but the burger needed more flavour! I couldn’t really taste the jalapeno sour cream; the burger needed some kind of spicy kick to be considered a nacho burger. I would highly recommend adding hot sauce. My boyfriend had the Hawaiian Burger. He said it was quite good. I took a bite and the pineapple gave it a nice punch of flavour.
I’ve probably only had New York Fries a handful of times in my life, and that’s what South St. Burger sells. I didn’t actually think they were that great. And the gravy was absolutely nothing special – probably my least favourite gravy from a restaurant in a long time.
We were a little surprised at the prices, but I suppose they make sense these days. In short, our favourite fast food burger place remains Five Guys Burgers & Fries!
