Jay used to make a ‘secret sauce’ that was a concentrated, spicy mix that he’d mix with BBQ sauce to mellow it out. I was inspired by that, and I always have a container of the adobo peppers in the freezer (because I never use a whole can once I open it).
This sauce turned out awesome – with a nice fresh kick from the cilantro.
2 Adobo Peppers & 1 Tbsp of the chipotle sauce
1/2 cup regular BBQ sauce
2 cloves garlic
handful cilantro (~1/4 cup)
Put all in blender or mini food processor and blend until smooth.
Once your wings are cooked, toss them in a large bowl with this delicious sauce and enjoy!
