I never used to make homemade fries until I got the ActiFry. It really does a great job – flavourful, crispy, and quick!
After making these fries a handful of times I have a few pointers:
– Make sure the potatoes are dry! This is in the instruction manual too, but I forgot one time and the fries turned out soggy and lifeless. I lay out a clean tea towel or hand towel, place the freshly cut potatoes on it, and use paper towels to dry the potatoes.
– Use a delicious, flavoured oil. Sure, you can use plain olive oil or sunflower oil, but this spicy oil is by far my favourite – it adds a nice kick of flavour (and it’s cheap!)
– Add some salt and your good to go!
