I love my vacuum sealer – not only does it save me money, but it gives the seasoning an opportunity to flavour the meat more effectively. I often buy chicken, pork and beef when it’s on sale, season it up, and vacuum seal it for the freezer. Sometimes I use homemade rubs, and sometimes I used Club House or Jamie Oliver seasoning blends – Piri Piri, Roasted Pepper & Garlic, etc. There are some really good seasoning mixes out there that make life easy! I also have a number of Epicure Selections seasoning blends that are great. I just pour a little bit of olive oil on the meat then hand rub the seasoning around so it gets into all the nooks and crannies.
I got the vacuum sealer at Costco for a good price, and the refills can be purchased at Costco.

have found the best way to store food in the freezer is using a vacuum sealer. I think the food stays fresh a lot longer and doesn’t get the freezer burn taste as fast. It is good to know that when storing broccoli, brussel sprouts and cauliflower to blanch them before so the bad doesn’t expand. I will keep that in mind the next time I’m
