I had never heard of this type of casserole before, but now that I’ve tried it I understand why there are so many different recipes for it out there! Given the reviews on this recipe I added some Hormel real bacon to it to add some extra flavour and texture.
The recipe gave us plenty of leftovers for the freezer (there’s just two of us). We quite liked it and I will make it again, but I’ll try a slightly different recipe next time, just for fun!
